FinanceAsia held its eighth annual awards dinner in Sydney in early February to honour the winners of the 2010 Annual Achievement Awards for Australia and New Zealand. Over 150 guests dined shoulder-to-shoulder at the harbourkitchenbar restaurant at the fabulous Park Hyatt hotel, which hugs the shore of Sydney harbour.
In attendance were issuers, bankers and service providers, who received plaques for their winning efforts and gave a short speech at the podium to thank their colleagues and clients. The mood was upbeat despite various winners describing the deal-making market as “challenging”, “stubbornly volatile” and “requiring perseverance”.
